Lee + Peggy

Erin Trumble

I consider myself fortunate to have the opportunity to work closely with custom clients, and my experience with Lee + Peggy was truly exceptional. Collaborating with Lee, who is an artist himself, added an extra layer of enjoyment to the process. He shared the beautiful story of his romance with Peggy and expressed his strong desire to capture the uniqueness of their love. While we took a non-traditional approach to their wedding set, our main objective was to symbolize his steadfast commitment to her. Here’s what Lee had to say about working with me and the sweetest love story ever!

“What a complete delight it was to work with Erin on creating this custom ring. As an artist, I had some fairly strong ideas on what I wanted for my partner's ring. But I also knew that I needed to rely on the artistry and expertise that Erin provides.

Erin's reputation preceded her when I received a recommendation from Due South Boutique. Everything I was told about Erin sounded like she was the jewelry designer I needed to call. When I called her, I proceeded to tell her my story of love for my partner. Peggy and I first met in grade school, in the 4th grade to be exact. We went to the same school all the way through high school. To me, she was always the prettiest girl in school. I had a crush on her, but I was too intimidated to let her or anyone know how I felt about her.

As life goes we went to different colleges, eventually got married to other people, we each had one child. Aside from seeing each other briefly at a couple of reunions, many years had gone by when Peggy's husband had passed and I got divorced. The magic that is Facebook brought us together, first with a positive comment about my paintings. Then many long distance conversations, me in North Carolina and Peggy here in Colorado. Now, more than a year later, we're in love and I'm living in Colorado. I wanted to show my love and dedication to Peggy with a beautiful custom ring that I just presented to her last night. It fit perfectly, looks absolutely beautiful on her hand and she's overjoyed with my gesture.

I mentioned being an artist. Collaborating with Erin as two artists with different mediums was quite exhilarating. The synergy with Erin and I was pure perfection. She listened, she sketched ideas, and we were working in harmony. I believe we produced a beautiful piece of jewelry. I could not have been more satisfied with the process and the result. I'm looking forward to working on another piece with Erin in the near future.”

Shortly after Peggy received her ring from Lee, I received a phone call from her requesting a custom ring for him too. Peggy had a clear vision of wanting something distinctive and rustic for Lee. Knowing his artistic taste, I suggested a sand cast ring as the ideal choice. This unique design not only provided a textured, artifact-like feel but also embodied an abstract essence that resonated with his artistic soul. Its robustness and durability made it a perfect match for Lee's lifestyle. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with such a wonderful couple like Peggy and Lee.
